Hey, I'm Sofia
Certified Nutrition Coach, Personal Trainer & Healthy Food Creator
The person behind every recipe on SofiaYuzu
My story
For as long as I can remember, I was the overweight kid. Growing up, I struggled with my weight and my skin — constant breakouts, low energy, the kind of relationship with food where everything tasted good in the moment and felt terrible after. I tried every diet, every shortcut, every "eat this, not that" list on the internet. Nothing stuck because nothing made sense.
What finally changed everything was not a diet — it was education. I decided to actually understand how food works. I enrolled in nutrition courses, studied macronutrients, micronutrients, how protein affects satiety, how fiber supports gut health, how blood sugar spikes drive cravings. The more I learned, the more I realized that healthy eating is not about restriction — it's about making smarter choices with real, whole ingredients.
Over the next three years, I transformed my body and my skin. Not with extreme dieting or punishing workouts, but with balanced, high-protein meals made from real food. Meals I actually enjoyed eating. That transformation is why SofiaYuzu exists — I want to share the recipes that changed my life so they can change yours too.
What I believe about food
I don't believe in cutting food groups, demonizing carbs or surviving on chicken and broccoli forever. I believe that healthy eating should be simple, delicious and sustainable — meals you actually look forward to, made with ingredients you can find in any grocery store. Every recipe on SofiaYuzu follows these principles: high in protein, balanced in macros, made from real whole ingredients, and tested multiple times in a real kitchen before it ever gets published.
I also believe that information should be transparent. That's why every recipe includes complete macros — calories, protein, carbs, fat — so you can make informed decisions about what you eat without guesswork. Whether your goal is weight loss, muscle gain or simply eating better, you deserve to know exactly what's on your plate.
Credentials & education
I take the science behind nutrition seriously. My approach to nutrition is built on evidence-based principles, and I continually update my knowledge to stay current with the latest research.
I want to be exact about what my qualification does and does not mean. "Nutritionist" is a protected professional title in some countries and an unregulated term in others. Either way, I am not a state-registered or state-licensed dietitian, doctor, or other regulated healthcare professional. My qualification is a course-based professional certification (Nutri Lab, certificate no. 8495), my personal-trainer certification is course-based too, and my review of a meal plan in the app is a sanity check, not medical advice. I cannot diagnose you, treat you, or tell you what your blood test means.

What you'll find on SofiaYuzu
Every recipe on this site is something I actually eat. I don't publish anything I wouldn't make for myself on a regular Tuesday. Here's what makes SofiaYuzu different: every recipe comes with complete macros — calories, protein, carbs and fat per serving. No vague "healthy" labels, no hidden ingredients, no guesswork. I focus on high-protein, low-calorie meals because that's what helped me transform my own body, but you'll also find gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, keto and paleo options for every dietary need.
The site is available in seven languages because healthy eating isn't limited to one part of the world. Whether you're in New York, Warsaw, Berlin or São Paulo, you deserve access to simple, tested, macro-balanced recipes that actually taste good.
