Terms for the SofiaYuzu app
Last updated: 12 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us about the SofiaYuzu app — the app at sofiayuzu.com/app and the SofiaYuzu app on the App Store and Google Play. They cover your account, your subscription, and what you can expect from us.
Please read them. By creating an account you accept them.
1. Who you are dealing with
The app is run by:
Sofiia Serhiivna Hetman (Гетьман Софія Сергіївна)
Individual entrepreneur (Ukrainian фізична особа-підприємець, ФОП), 3rd tax group
Record in the Unified State Register of Ukraine: 2011600000000112030
Registered address: Microdistrict 2, building 46, Lozova, Kharkiv region, 64606, Ukraine
Phone: +380 93 118 22 96 · Email: admin@sofiayuzu.com
A ФОП is a registered business run by a natural person, not a company. So the person behind the app is Sofia herself, under her own name.
Where you bought your subscription decides who sold it to you.
| You subscribed | Who sold it to you | Cancel here | Refunds and the 14-day withdrawal handled by |
|---|---|---|---|
| On sofiayuzu.com | Paddle.com Market Limited, as our reseller and merchant of record | sofiayuzu.com/cancel — no login needed — or in the app, or from any billing email, or by writing to us | Paddle, on our authorisation |
| In the iOS app | Apple (Apple Distribution International Ltd, Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Cork, Ireland) | Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on your device | Apple, under Apple's own terms |
| In the Android app | Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions | Google, under Google's own terms |
We are the supplier of the service itself in all three cases, and these terms cover that part. Whoever sold it to you charges your card, applies the tax and issues your receipt. We never see or store your card number.
If you bought through Apple or Google, we cannot cancel your subscription and we cannot refund it. The billing is theirs, and our refund rules in section 6 do not apply to those purchases — Apple's and Google's do. We will always tell you exactly where to go, and we will help with anything that is about the service rather than the payment. Where the law obliges us to give your money back — we removed a feature you paid for, we closed the service, or we found out you are under 16 — we pay you ourselves and we will write and ask you where to send it.
Prices in the iOS and Android apps are higher than on sofiayuzu.com, because the stores take a commission on everything sold through them.
If Paddle's, Apple's or Google's checkout says something about your rights that is less favourable to you than what this page says, what this page says applies to what we provide.
The recipe website and the cookbooks are a different product with their own terms and their own refund rules. Nothing here changes them, and you do not need to read them to understand this page.
2. Who can use the app
You must be at least 16 years old to have an account. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and we check it on our side, not only in the browser. We do not have a younger age band and we do not have a parental-consent route.
If we find out that an account belongs to someone under 16, we suspend it immediately, delete the health data straight away rather than on our normal schedule, and refund everything that was ever paid on that account, to the payment method it came from — however long the account existed and whoever paid. We do not ask for proof of age and we do not argue about how much of the service was used. The account is closed as part of this, and we keep a dated note that we did it.
If somebody else tells us an account belongs to a child — a parent, for example — we neither delete the account on their word alone nor ignore them. We write to the address on the account, ask for the date of birth to be confirmed, and give 14 days to answer. While we wait, no new health data can be added to that account, but reading and exporting keep working. If the answer confirms the account holder is under 16, or nobody answers, we do what the paragraph above says.
Where the app is available. We do not offer the app or the cookbooks in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan, we do not direct our services at those countries, and we do not accept sign-ups or orders from there.
The app is for your own personal use. One account per person. Please give us information that is true — the calorie and nutrient targets are calculated from your body data, so wrong numbers give you wrong targets.
3. Your account
You sign in through Clerk, our sign-in provider. Keep your password to yourself and turn on two-factor authentication if you can. Tell us at admin@sofiayuzu.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
You are responsible for what happens under your account while you are the one in control of it.
We can suspend or close an account if it is used to break these terms, to abuse the service or other people, or to commit fraud — and we can act immediately when the abuse is serious. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it: we close a paid account outright only for serious or fraudulent abuse, and for anything smaller you get a warning and a chance to put it right. If we close your account, you can still ask for a copy of your data and you can still ask us to delete it. See Delete your account.
You can close your account yourself at any time, in Profile → Your data → Delete account. Deletion is explained in full on that page — including the fact that closing your account does not by itself stop an App Store or Google Play subscription, which only you can cancel in your device's settings (section 5).
4. What the app is
What the app is, in one line: software for logging and charting your own records. The targets it shows are arithmetic applied to published population reference values (section 11). The monthly meal plan is a selection of meals from our own recipe catalogue, filtered against the numbers and the allergies you entered. The app does not give medical, dietary or nutritional advice, it does not treat anything, and nothing in it is a consultation.
In practice, it is a place to log and see your own health and food data: meals and their nutrients, water, weight, sleep, steps, workouts, menstrual cycle, blood test results, mood, medications and supplements, notes, and files you upload. It draws charts and writes plain-language summaries of your own logs.
The three plans. What each one includes in full is set out on the plans page in the app and at sofiayuzu.com/app; in short:
- Basic — food diary and nutrients, water, weight and measurements, sleep, steps, workouts.
- Pro — adds cycle, mood and well-being, medications and supplements, lab results and medical documents, body photos, bowel records, full vitamins and minerals, insights.
- Max — adds the monthly meal plan reviewed by Sofia, daily rations and a training plan.
What it is not is set out in section 11. Read that section before you rely on anything the app tells you.
5. Your subscription
The app is a paid subscription. There is no free version.
Plans and prices. Three plans — Basic, Pro and Max. What each one includes is set out in section 4, on the plans page in the app and at sofiayuzu.com/app; the price for your country and for the place you are buying from is shown there and again at checkout before you confirm. Yearly plans cost less per month than monthly ones. In the EU and the UK every price you see already includes VAT; in the United States sales tax, where it applies, is added at checkout. Prices in the iOS and Android apps are higher than on sofiayuzu.com, because the stores take a commission.
The 7-day trial.
- The trial is available on Basic and Pro. Max has no trial — it starts as a paid subscription straight away.
- One trial per account, ever. If you have already used a trial on one plan, you cannot take another on a different one.
- We take your card details at signup. They are held by whoever sold you the subscription — Paddle, Apple or Google — never by us.
- Nothing is charged during those 7 days.
- At the end of day 7 the trial ends, the subscription starts at the price you were shown when you signed up, and your card is charged automatically — unless you cancel before then.
We email you on day 5. Two days before the trial ends we send you a reminder that says when the trial ends, exactly how much you will be charged, how often it will repeat, and a direct link to cancel. Whoever sold you the subscription — Paddle, Apple or Google — also sends its own notices under its own rules. Ours is in addition to theirs, not instead of them.
On the day you subscribe we email you a confirmation of the contract — the day your trial starts, or the day the paid subscription starts if your plan has no trial. It states your plan, the price, the date the trial ends, the date and amount of the first charge, both of the statements you ticked at checkout (section 6), and the model withdrawal form. Keep it: it is your written record of what you agreed to.
Renewal. After the first charge the subscription renews automatically until you cancel — monthly plans every month, yearly plans as described next.
Yearly plans, and where you live.
- If you live in Germany, the Netherlands or Belgium, your yearly plan does not roll over into another fixed year. At the end of the year it continues for an indefinite period and you can end it at any time with no more than one month's notice. If you end it part way through a paid month, we refund the part you have not used.
- Everywhere else, a yearly plan renews for another year at your existing price. A part-year is not refunded if you cancel in the middle of it — but your 14-day right to withdraw (section 6) and everything in section 15 still apply.
Before a yearly plan renews we remind you three times — by email three months, one month and one week before the renewal date. Each reminder gives the date, the exact amount, and a link that cancels in one click. If we fail to send those reminders, the law where you live may let you end the contract and have your money back; nothing here limits that.
Your price does not change while your subscription runs. For as long as your subscription continues without a break, you keep the price you signed up at, even when we raise prices for new subscribers. If we ever do have to change your price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it would apply and you can cancel before it does; if we tell you later than that, the new price skips a renewal and starts at the one after.
Changing plan.
- Moving up (Basic → Pro → Max) takes effect immediately. We charge the full price of the new plan, credit the unused part of the old one against it, and your new period starts that day.
- Moving down (Max → Pro → Basic) takes effect at your next renewal, on monthly and on yearly plans alike. You keep what you paid for until the period you have already paid for ends — so there is nothing to refund.
- After you move down, everything you already logged stays visible. You simply cannot add new entries in the parts of the app that belong to the plan you left; those buttons lead to the plans page instead. Nothing is deleted, and the export works on every plan.
- If you bought in the App Store or on Google Play, the store handles the change in its own settings. We chose the rules above to match what the stores do.
If a payment fails. Whoever sold you the subscription retries your card and emails you to update it. On sofiayuzu.com your access keeps working while those retries run and stops when they are exhausted. On iOS and Android the grace period is the store's, not ours. You are never charged twice for the same period.
How to cancel. It depends on where you bought it.
- On sofiayuzu.com: at sofiayuzu.com/cancel — no login, no app, the link is in the footer of every page — or in the app, or from the link in any billing email, or simply by writing to admin@sofiayuzu.com from the address on your account. Any clear statement is enough; you do not have to use our form, and you do not have to give a reason.
- In the iOS app: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on your device.
- In the Android app: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions.
We cannot cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription for you. Nobody can except you, in your device's settings — not because we do not want to, but because the stores do not give us the ability.
When we receive a cancellation for a subscription bought on sofiayuzu.com we email you a confirmation that states what has been cancelled, the date and time we received your notice, and the date your contract ends. If the address you wrote from does not match an account, we reply without confirming or denying that any account exists — that protects other people's privacy, and we will tell you how to reach us from the right address.
There is no cancellation fee.
What cancelling does. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is charged after that.
Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling. If you bought on sofiayuzu.com, deleting your account cancels the subscription too — we do that for you as part of the deletion. If you bought in the App Store or on Google Play, deleting your account does not stop the charges. You have to cancel in your device's subscription settings as well, or the store will keep billing you. We show you this warning before you delete.
What happens to your data after you cancel.
- For 30 days everything you logged stays visible and exportable, but the app becomes read only — you cannot add new entries, and the buttons that would add them lead to the plans page.
- From day 30 to day 90 your data is archived: it is held but not shown. Export still works.
- After day 90 everything is deleted from the live service, apart from payment and tax records we are legally required to keep. A copy can remain in our rolling database backups for a short window afterwards — this is explained in full in the App privacy policy.
During the read-only window and the archive window you can bring everything back by subscribing again, at no charge beyond the price of the subscription itself.
You can take a copy of your data at any time, on any plan and at any of the stages above, in Profile → Your data → Download my data (JSON). The export is a JSON file of everything you logged; original lab PDFs and body photos download one at a time from the record they belong to, and the App privacy policy lists everything else we hold about you — ask us and we will send you that too.
If you subscribed inside the iOS app. Apple requires us to spell this out, and it is accurate:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown for your plan.
- You can manage the subscription and switch auto-renew off at any time after purchase, in your Account Settings on the device.
- If you buy a subscription before a free trial ends, the unused part of the trial is forfeited.
- Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and gives no warranty for it. Support for the app itself comes from us, at admin@sofiayuzu.com. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they apply to your use of the iOS app, and Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
If you subscribed inside the Android app, the same shape applies under Google Play's rules: the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, and Google charges and receipts you.
How the contract is made, in technical terms
Some laws — Ukrainian law where we are registered, and EU law where many of you are — require us to spell out the mechanics of an online contract. Here they are.
- The steps. You choose a plan → you create an account with your email address and a password → you give your date of birth and tick the consent boxes → you enter your card at the checkout of whoever is selling it to you, which is Paddle on sofiayuzu.com and Apple or Google inside the apps → you confirm. The contract exists from the moment we confirm your order by email.
- Correcting a mistake. Before you confirm, every step can be gone back to and every field can be changed. After you confirm, write to admin@sofiayuzu.com and we will correct anything that was entered wrong — including cancelling an order placed by mistake.
- The language of the contract. The contract is concluded in the language you were reading these terms in when you subscribed. In Ukraine that is Ukrainian.
- Your copy, and where it lives. On the day you subscribe we email you a confirmation with your plan, the price, the trial end date, the date and amount of the first charge, and the two boxes you ticked at checkout. These terms, in the version that applied on that day, stay available at this address, and we will send you the exact version your purchase was made under if you ask. Ask us at admin@sofiayuzu.com and we will also send you a PDF you can print.
- No electronic signature is needed. Ticking the box and confirming the order is how the contract is accepted. We do not ask for and do not use qualified electronic signatures.
6. Refunds and your right to withdraw
Where you bought decides who can refund you. If you subscribed in the App Store or on Google Play, refunds are handled by Apple or by Google under their own rules, and the policy below does not apply to those purchases — you ask them, not us. Everything else in this section is about subscriptions bought on sofiayuzu.com.
Our own policy is simple: when you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and that is what you get instead of money back. Part-months and part-years are not refunded as a matter of course.
That policy sits on top of the rights the law gives you, and it never takes them away. You get your money back — in whole or in part, whoever you bought from — in every one of these cases:
- You withdraw within 14 days. See below.
- You live in Germany, the Netherlands or Belgium and you end a yearly plan that has rolled over. We refund the part of the month you have not used (section 5).
- We change or remove something you were paying for and you leave because of it. We refund the whole unused part of your period, within 14 days (section 15).
- We close the service. We refund every paid period that has not been used (section 15).
- You withdraw your consent to us handling your health data. The tracker cannot run without it, so this brings the service to an end for you. We work out the refund exactly the way we would for any other cancellation, and never on worse terms — withdrawing a consent must never cost you more than cancelling would.
- We find out you were under 16. We give you all of your money back, however long the account existed (section 2).
Where we owe you money on a subscription bought in the App Store or on Google Play, we pay it ourselves — we will write and ask you where to send it.
If you live in the EU or the UK: your 14-day right to withdraw.
A personalised subscription like this one is a digital service, not a digital file. That means you keep the 14-day right of withdrawal, and it is not lost just because you started using the app.
- The 14 days run from the day you sign up — which is the day your trial starts, not from the day of your first payment. If you use the whole 7-day trial, about a week of the withdrawal period is left after the first charge.
- To withdraw, tell us clearly — email admin@sofiayuzu.com, or use the form at the end of this page. Any clear statement is enough; you do not have to use our form.
- If you subscribed in the App Store or on Google Play, the 14-day right is exercised against Apple or Google, who sold you the subscription. Contact them. If the problem is with the service rather than the payment, write to us as well and we will help.
- Because you asked us to start straight away, we may charge you for the part you actually used. The charge is proportionate: the total price agreed for your subscription period, divided by the days in that period, multiplied by the days from the start of the service until you told us you were withdrawing. Days of the free trial, for which you were charged nothing, do not count. The rest is refunded within 14 days of us receiving your notice, by the same means you paid. So if you take the full 7-day trial and withdraw on day 10, you pay for three days of your plan and the rest comes back.
- If the total price of your plan is excessive, the proportionate amount is calculated on the market value of what you received rather than on that price.
- If you withdraw during the free trial, nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to refund and nothing to pay.
If you live in Ukraine, you have the same 14-day right. Ukrainian consumer law gives you a right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, and everything above applies to you in the same way — including the proportionate charge for the days you actually used, and the refund within 14 days of us hearing from you. One thing in your favour: if we failed to give you, before you subscribed, the information Ukrainian law requires us to give, your period to withdraw does not start until you receive that information — so it is longer than 14 days, not shorter.
At checkout you tick two boxes, and they are what makes the above lawful:
- that you expressly ask us to start the service immediately, during the 14-day withdrawal period; and
- that you acknowledge you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, and that if you withdraw before then you will pay a proportionate amount for the days you used.
Both boxes are required, because the service — including the free trial — starts the moment you subscribe, and ticking them is how you ask us to start it. There is no version of the subscription that begins two weeks later. If you would rather not agree to them, do not confirm the order, and write to us if you want to talk it through first.
Cookbooks are a different case entirely: they are downloadable files, sold under separate terms, where the waiver of the withdrawal right is taken properly at checkout.
7. What you put into the app, and what we may do with it
Everything you log stays yours. Your notes, your photos, your lab PDFs, your entries — we do not claim ownership of any of it.
To run the service we need your permission to handle it. You give us a limited licence to store, encrypt, back up, process and display your content back to you, and to pass it to the services that make the app work — nothing more. That licence exists only so the app can function, it is not exclusive, we make no money from it separately, and it ends when your content is deleted.
In plain terms, that permission covers: keeping your lab PDFs and body photos so you can see them again; sending a photo or a document to our AI provider when you ask the app to read it; showing your own data back to you in charts and summaries; and the plan review described in section 8.
We do not sell your content, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Please do not upload anything you have no right to upload, and nothing illegal.
8. The monthly meal plan (Max only)
Meal planning is part of the Max plan. If you are on Max, this is how it works, exactly:
- The AI drafts a month of meals from your targets, your goal and your allergies, drawing on our own recipe catalogue.
- That draft, together with your targets, your goal and your allergies, is sent to Sofia's private Telegram chat.
- Sofia reads it and approves it before you ever see it. A plan is usually ready within three days of you asking for one. If something delays it, we tell you.
Swapping a meal. Meal swaps come from the same approved set of Sofia's recipes and her rules — every meal in your plan, including one you swap in later, is a recipe Sofia wrote.
Telegram is therefore a recipient of that information. What goes to Telegram is your account identifier, not your name and not your email address.
Human review is a sanity check, not medical supervision. "Nutritionist" is a protected professional title in some countries and an unregulated term in others. Either way, Sofia is not a state-registered or state-licensed dietitian, doctor, or other regulated healthcare professional. Her qualification is a course-based professional certification (Nutri Lab, certificate no. 8495), and her review of a plan is a sanity check, not medical advice. She is not treating you.
9. The leaderboard, your nickname, and the season prize
There is a leaderboard. It lives in the streak sheet in the app, where everyone can see it — there is no separate page — and it shows the top ten by points. Taking part is optional: you join by tapping Join in the streak sheet and choosing a nickname, and you can leave at any time in the same place — your nickname disappears from the board immediately and your streak keeps counting.
The only things other people ever see are the nickname you choose (3–20 characters) and your points. Your name, your email, your photos, your measurements and everything else you log stay private, always. You can change the nickname whenever you like in the streak sheet — pick one that does not identify you if you would rather stay anonymous.
How points work. You get 1 point for every closed day (see section 10 for what a closed day is) and 10 extra points for every calendar week, Monday to Sunday, in which you closed all seven days with food. Days covered by a freeze keep your streak alive but do not earn the weekly bonus. Points are counted from the start of the season, and the streak sheet shows your points, the board and the day the season ends.
Nicknames are visible to other people, so there are rules. Nothing obscene, hateful, harassing or impersonating anyone. You can report a nickname right from the leaderboard, and you can write to admin@sofiayuzu.com about anything you see there; a person reads every report. We remove what breaks these rules, normally within 24 hours of being told, and we can take a persistent offender off the board for good.
The season prize. The leaderboard runs in seasons of one year. The first year runs from the day the app opened to the public — we announce that date in the app and on this page — to the same date the following year, and every later year follows on from there. When a season ends, whoever has the most points gets one free month of the plan they are on. If several people are level at the top, all of them get the prize — this is a result, not a draw, and there is no random element anywhere in it. Being new means fewer points available to you: someone who joins a month before the season ends can collect at most about a month's worth of points and will not out-score someone who has been closing days all year. We would rather say that here than explain it afterwards. Winners are told by email and shown in the app.
10. The streak, freezes, and the streak reward
You build a streak by closing days in the app. A closed day is any day with at least one food entry — a photo, a barcode, a voice note or something typed in. Future dates do not count.
- Freezes. You have three freezes in every calendar month. They cover missed days: if you miss a day and you still have a freeze for that month, the app uses one automatically and your streak survives. You can also freeze today or days ahead yourself in the streak sheet — for a trip or a holiday — and undo it as long as the day has not passed. Log food on a frozen day and the freeze goes back to you. Freezes do not carry over: whatever you have not used when the month ends is gone, and three new ones are there for the next month. A frozen day keeps the streak alive but does not add a day to it.
- Missed days that no freeze can cover reset the streak to zero. Your closed days and points stay.
- A full year of streak — 365 closed days without a break — earns you one month of your current plan, free.
You do not have to ask and you do not have to write to us. When you reach 365 days the app awards it and moves your next billing date one month later, in whichever channel you bought your subscription: on sofiayuzu.com we skip one charge, in the App Store and on Google Play we push your renewal date back by a month. You will see the new date in your subscription settings.
The reward is one month per account per year of streak. It has no cash value, it cannot be transferred or sold, and it does not roll into a second free month if you keep going. Streaks built by faking entries, by scripts, or across more than one account do not count, and we may reset a streak we can see was manipulated.
Changing the reward. We can change the reward and the yearly prize, or stop offering them, for a period that has not started yet, and we announce any such change by email before that period begins. We do not change the rules of a period that is already running, and a streak you have already completed is never taken away.
11. Health disclaimer — read this one
The SofiaYuzu app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice.
More specifically:
- The app is for general wellness and self-tracking. It is not a medical service and using it is not a consultation.
- When the AI reads a lab report, it transcribes the values. It does not interpret them. It copies the numbers, the units and the reference ranges from your document so you can see them over time. It does not tell you what they mean, it does not say whether a result is dangerous, and it does not give a diagnosis. Only your doctor can do that.
- AI transcription can be wrong. It can misread a decimal point, a unit or a whole line. Everything it produces is a draft for you to check, your original document remains the authoritative version, and you should compare the two before relying on a number — and always take the original, not the app, to your doctor. Section 12 explains the AI features in full.
- Nothing in the app — targets, charts, summaries, meal plans — replaces advice from a doctor, a pharmacist, or a state-registered dietitian.
- Talk to a professional before you change your diet or exercise if you are under treatment for any condition, if you take medication, if you have or have had an eating disorder, or if you have diabetes, kidney, liver or heart disease.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding. The cycle tracker has a pregnancy mode and you are welcome to use it. But the targets and reference values in the app are not calculated for pregnancy or breastfeeding — during that time they need to be agreed with your doctor or midwife. When you turn the mode on, the app suggests switching your goal to maintenance and turning weight-loss targets off.
There is a floor, and we will not move it.
Whatever goal you set, the app will not accept:
- a daily energy target below 1,200 kcal;
- a rate of weight loss faster than 1 kg (2 lb) a week;
- a goal weight below a BMI of 18.5 for your height.
If you try, the app explains why and offers the nearest figure it will accept. Targets below these belong in the care of a doctor, not in an app, and no setting here unlocks them. This is a deliberate limit, not a bug.
If food, weight or your body is becoming difficult, please talk to someone. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Otherwise, findahelpline.com lists free and confidential helplines in most of the countries we serve. If the app notices a pattern it is not equipped to support, it will show you where to find help — it will never lock you out of your own data. We are a tracking app. We are not a treatment service, and nobody is watching your entries in real time.
Where the numbers come from. Your daily energy target is calculated with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and an activity multiplier. Protein, fat, carbohydrate and micronutrient reference values follow the NIH Dietary Reference Intakes. The sodium limit follows the World Health Organization recommendation of less than 2 g of sodium (about 5 g of salt) a day. These are population averages. They are a starting point, not a prescription for you personally.
Nutrient values for foods come from public food databases and from product labels. They are estimates and they can be wrong. Check the label if a number matters to you — for an allergy, it always matters.
12. The AI features
Some parts of the app use an artificial-intelligence system, and we would rather you knew exactly where. You are interacting with an AI system in these places:
- turning a meal you describe or dictate into a list of foods;
- reading a photo of a meal, a food label, a supplement or a medicine package;
- reading a lab report, doctor's note or prescription you upload;
- reading the numbers off a steps or sleep screenshot;
- suggesting a type and colour from a bowel-movement photo;
- drafting the monthly meal plan;
- and when you write to our support address or message us on social media. The first line of support is an AI assistant, and it says so at the start of every conversation. It handles account and subscription questions. It hands anything else to a person, and it never decides a request about your data — a copy, a correction, a deletion or the withdrawal of a consent always goes to a human being, whatever the assistant said first.
Three rules apply to all of them:
- Everything the AI produces is a draft. It is shown to you before anything is saved, you can edit it or throw it away, and nothing is written to your diary that you did not accept. The meal plan additionally goes to a person before it reaches you (section 8).
- AI output can be incomplete or factually wrong. Models of this kind can misread a number, invent a plausible-looking value, or skip a line. You are the check on it. Where the AI read a document you uploaded, that document is the authoritative version, not what the app shows — compare them before you rely on a value.
- No decision about you is made automatically. Nothing in the app decides anything with legal or similarly significant effect for you, so the rules in Article 22 GDPR on solely automated decision-making do not apply. If that ever changes, we will tell you before it does, not after.
The App privacy policy section 6 lists exactly what is sent for each feature and who processes it. You can switch the AI features off in Profile → Your data → Consents & privacy. Every one of them has a hand-entry alternative except the meal plan, which exists only as an AI draft read by a person.
13. What you must not do
Do not: use the app to break the law; try to break into it, into other people's accounts, or into the systems behind it; scrape it, copy its database or resell what is in it; upload malware; automate access with bots or scripts; take it apart to build a competing product; or use it to harass anyone.
14. Our content
The app, its design, its text, its recipe and food data, its icons and its code belong to us or to our licensors. You may use them inside the app, for yourself. You may not copy, republish or resell them.
Some food data comes from Open Food Facts, used under the Open Database License (ODbL), and from the USDA FoodData Central database, which is in the public domain. The app shows the source where that data is used.
15. Availability, and when we may change the app
We work to keep the app running, but we do not promise it will never be down. Fixing bugs, improving how something looks and adding new things are not changes to what you bought, and we do those as we go.
Changing or removing something you are already paying for is different, and we have tied our own hands.
We may change or remove a feature that is part of your paid plan only where one of these five things has happened:
- a third party has withdrawn or discontinued an interface, service or data source the feature depends on;
- the law requires the change;
- the security of the service or of your data requires it;
- Apple or Google requires it as a condition of the app staying in their stores;
- an integration with another platform comes to an end.
What we will not do: we will not remove a feature because keeping it is inconvenient or expensive for us, and we will not move a feature you already pay for into a more expensive plan.
If we do make such a change:
- we tell you in good time before it happens, and we tell you by email — not by a push notification, a banner or a changelog entry. If we have not emailed you, notice has not been given and the periods below have not started running;
- the change costs you nothing;
- where the change is more than minor and makes the app measurably worse for you, you may end your subscription free of charge within 30 days of whichever comes later: our email, or the change itself;
- if you do, we refund the part of the period you paid for and did not use, within 14 days, by the same means you paid, with nothing deducted. If you bought through Apple or Google, we pay you directly and we will write and ask you where to send it.
You do not have to prove anything to use this right, and using it costs you nothing.
If we ever stop offering the app altogether, we stop selling subscriptions on the day the decision is made, so that nobody buys a year of something that is ending. We then tell you by email three months, one month and one week before the service closes, we cancel every subscription, and we refund every paid period that has not been used. The export keeps working for the whole notice period and for a while after the service closes — people keep years of records here and we are not going to shut the door on them. After that the data is deleted. It is not sold and it is not passed on as an asset by itself.
If the business is sold as a going concern, your data moves with it. The App privacy policy explains what we tell you before that happens, what the buyer has to promise, and how long you have to take your data out or delete it.
16. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Your rights as a consumer under the law of your own country are not affected by anything here.
Beyond that: we are liable for loss that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, and for the remedies the law gives you when a digital service is not what it should be — putting it right, a reduction in price, or ending the contract with your money back. We are not liable for loss that is not foreseeable, for business losses, or for data you lost because you never exported it. This applies in the same way to the AI features in section 12 — those results are drafts for you to check, and acting on an unchecked one is not something we can answer for.
Where our liability can be capped, it is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem — but that cap never applies to the refunds we promise you in sections 6 and 15, and it never applies to anything your own consumer law says we cannot cap.
Two things we are not going to hide behind. If you are hurt because we were careless, the first paragraph of this section governs and nothing else in it helps us — we are not excluding that, whatever label the harm is given. And we do not disclaim the service just because it runs on somebody else's machines: your device and your network are yours, but Paddle, Clerk, our hosting provider and our AI provider are ours. If the service is not what it should be because of one of them, that is between us and them — not between us and you. Outages of the app stores themselves, and of your own device or network, are outside our control.
17. Which law applies, and where you can sue
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine.
If you are a consumer, that takes nothing away from you. You keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live, and where those rules and these terms disagree, those rules win. You can bring a claim against us in the courts of the country where you live, and we will only bring proceedings against you in the courts of the country where you live. Nothing here obliges you to travel, to arbitrate, or to sue in Ukraine.
Complaints. Please write to admin@sofiayuzu.com first — we answer every complaint. If we cannot sort it out between us, the consumer protection body and the courts of your own country are open to you, and for anything about a payment, an invoice or a chargeback you can also go to whoever sold you the subscription. We are not currently signed up to an alternative dispute resolution scheme and we are not obliged to be.
18. Languages
The English text of this page is the one we write and update first.
Where we have published a version in another language, that version is the one that applies to you and you can rely on it. If it differs from the English one, the meaning that is more favourable to you applies. Anything that was more favourable to you in an older translation still applies to what you did while that translation was the published one — we do not get to improve our position by being slow to translate. Once the Ukrainian version is published, it applies to users in Ukraine as Ukrainian law requires.
Today this page is published in English. Translations into German, Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian are being prepared, and each version will show when it was last updated. Until a version in your language is published, the English text applies. If you spot a difference between two versions, write to admin@sofiayuzu.com and we will fix whatever is wrong.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you — price, billing, your rights, how we handle your content — we tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then. Small corrections, like fixing a typo or a broken link, we just make. The date at the top always shows the current version.
A change never applies to a period you have already paid for. What you agreed to when you paid is what governs that period, until it ends.
20. Contact
Phone: +380 93 118 22 96 — the line takes messages and points you to email.
Email: admin@sofiayuzu.com — the fast way to reach us; we answer in writing.
An AI assistant reads that mailbox first and answers routine things — cancelling a web subscription, questions about how the app works — and it says so at the start of every conversation. A person reads everything else, and every request about your data goes to a person. Please do not send us lab results or other health documents by email: put them in the app. If one arrives, we delete the message.
Write to us in English, German, Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, Russian or Ukrainian.
We usually answer within a week. Billing disputes and anything complex can take up to two weeks. Requests about your personal data are answered within one month (45 days if you are making a request under Washington State law), and any refund we owe you is paid within 14 days of your notice.
For what we do with your data, see the App privacy policy and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. To delete your account, see Delete your account. For our business details, see the Legal notice.
Model withdrawal form
(Fill this in and send it back only if you want to withdraw from the contract. You do not have to use this form — any clear statement will do.)

Phone: +380 93 118 22 96I/we (*) hereby give notice that I/we (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the supply of the following service:
Ordered on (*)/received on (*): ……………
Name of consumer(s): ……………
Address of consumer(s): ……………
Email address on the account: ……………
Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is sent on paper): ……………
Date: ……………(*) Delete as appropriate.
Two things about deadlines that work in your favour. It is enough that you send your notice before the 14 days run out — it does not have to reach us within them. And withdrawing costs you nothing: we do not charge any fee for handling it, and the only money you may owe is the proportionate amount for days you actually used, described above.
If you subscribed in the App Store or on Google Play, send your withdrawal to Apple or to Google, who sold you the subscription — and write to us as well if you would like us to help.
