Delete your SofiaYuzu account
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This page is about the SofiaYuzu app — the app at sofiayuzu.com/app and the SofiaYuzu app on the App Store and Google Play, published by Sofiia Serhiivna Hetman (Гетьман Софія Сергіївна) (Ukrainian individual entrepreneur, ФОП, record 2011600000000112030, Microdistrict 2, building 46, Lozova, Kharkiv region, 64606, Ukraine, admin@sofiayuzu.com).
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. You do not need permission and you do not need to give a reason. You do not have to install the app, log in, or pay anything to ask.
How to delete it
From the app. Open Profile → Your data → Delete account. You type delete to confirm, we email you a six-digit code, and you enter the code to finish. We ask for the code so that nobody else can wipe your data.
Without the app, or if you cannot sign in. Email admin@sofiayuzu.com from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We may ask one or two questions to check the account is really yours — that check protects you. We answer as fast as we can and finish the deletion within one month.
If you are in Washington State and you are making a request under the My Health My Data Act, we answer within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension if the request is complicated. We will tell you if we need it.
Before you delete, take a copy. In Profile → Your data → Download my data (JSON) you get a machine-readable file with everything you logged: meals, water, weight and measurements, sleep, steps, workouts, cycle, mood and notes, medications, lab values, bowel records, body photos, goals, settings and streaks. The original PDFs and photos of lab documents are not inside that file — they are large, and you download them one by one from each document. If you want the rest of what we hold about you — the record of which consents you gave, the log of what was sent to the AI provider, your push subscriptions — ask at admin@sofiayuzu.com and we will send it. After deletion we cannot get any of it back for you.
First: your subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically stop the money.
- If you subscribed on sofiayuzu.com, we cancel it with Paddle as part of the deletion. You do not have to do anything.
- If you subscribed inside the iOS or Android app, only you can cancel it, in your device's subscription settings — Apple and Google do not let us do it for you, and they will keep charging you until you do. The app shows you the exact link before you confirm deletion.
If you delete the account first and realise afterwards, write to admin@sofiayuzu.com and we will tell you exactly where to cancel — but we still cannot do it for you.
What gets deleted
Everything you logged, including:
- your food diary, water, weight, sleep, steps and workouts
- your menstrual cycle entries, and your sexual-activity entries if you used them
- your blood test results and the lab records you built from them
- your body photo records
- your mood entries and your free-text notes
- your medications and supplements
- your goals, settings, targets, streaks, your leaderboard nickname and any meal plans made for you
- your name and your email address
Your sign-in account itself is deleted too, at Clerk, our sign-in provider. After that the password and any two-factor setup are gone with it.
Files you uploaded — lab report PDFs and photos — are deleted from our file storage in the same operation. Nothing is left behind in storage after the database rows are gone.
What we keep, and why
A dated record that the deletion happened. One line saying an account was deleted on a date. It contains no health data. We keep it so we can prove we did what you asked.
Payment and tax records. If you ever paid for a subscription or bought a cookbook, that sale record has to survive — tax and accounting law requires it and we cannot delete it on request. Remember that your contract of sale is with the shop you bought in — Paddle for a purchase on sofiayuzu.com, Apple or Google for a purchase made inside the app — so that shop also keeps its own invoice records under its own policy and its own legal duties; that part is not ours to delete. On our side we keep the minimum for as long as the law requires and we never use it for anything else.
Backups, for a short while. Our database keeps rolling backups for 30 days. Your data is already gone from the live service the moment we delete it, but a copy can persist in those backups until they roll over. We do not restore deleted accounts from them, and if we ever have to restore the database for another reason we delete your data again straight after.
The record of which consents you gave or withdrew, and when — for 3 years. Which consent, which version of the text, and the date. No health data, no diary content. The law puts the burden of proving consent on us, so this one line has to outlive the account; three years is our own choice, matched to the general limitation period in Ukraine, and it is described in section 11 of the App privacy policy.
That is the whole list. Nothing else is kept.
How long it takes
From the app. The moment you confirm with the code, your account is closed: you are signed out, the app stops accepting new entries, and nothing of yours is shown anywhere. We then wait 30 days before erasing, and that wait is for you, not for us — one email to admin@sofiayuzu.com inside those 30 days brings everything back exactly as it was. After 30 days it is erased and cannot be recovered. Export still works during the wait.
By email. Within one month of us being able to confirm the account is yours, usually much sooner. If you are in Washington State and making a request under the My Health My Data Act, we answer within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension.
After your subscription ends
Deleting is not the only way your data goes away. If you cancel and never come back:
- for 30 days everything stays available to read;
- from day 30 to day 90 it is archived and the app locks;
- after day 90 it is deleted automatically from the live service, apart from the payment and tax records above.
You can still export your data, and still ask us to delete it, during the archive window.
If something goes wrong
Write to admin@sofiayuzu.com. If you think we have not done what this page says, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
We usually answer within a week. Billing disputes and anything complex can take up to two weeks. Requests about your personal data are answered within one month (45 days if you are making a request under Washington State law), and any refund we owe you is paid within 14 days of your notice.
For the full picture of what we collect and why, see the App privacy policy and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
