A ФОП is a registered business run by a natural person, not a company. The legal person behind sofiayuzu.com, the cookbooks and the SofiaYuzu app is Sofia herself, under her own name, and she is personally responsible for them.
Responsible for the content of this site under § 18(2) MStV: Sofiia Serhiivna Hetman (Гетьман Софія Сергіївна), address as above.
How to reach us.
Phone: +380 93 118 22 96 — the line takes messages and points you to email.
Email: admin@sofiayuzu.com — the fast way to reach us; we answer in writing. There is no contact form.
An AI assistant reads that mailbox first and answers routine things — cancelling a web subscription, questions about how the app works — and it says so at the start of every conversation. A person reads everything else, and every request about your data goes to a person. Please do not send us lab results or other health documents by email: put them in the app. If one arrives, we delete the message.
You can write to us in English, German, Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, Russian or Ukrainian.
Professional qualification
"Nutritionist" is a protected professional title in some countries and an unregulated term in others. Either way, Sofia is not a state-registered or state-licensed dietitian, doctor, or other regulated healthcare professional. Her qualification is a course-based professional certification (Nutri Lab, certificate no. 8495), and her review of a plan is a sanity check, not medical advice.
She is also a certified personal trainer, again a course-based certification. She is not a member of a professional chamber, and no state supervisory body regulates this activity. Nothing on this site, in the cookbooks or in the app is medical advice or medical treatment. See About Sofia.
Buying from us
Cookbooks and app subscriptions are sold through Paddle, which acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Your contract of sale is with Paddle: Paddle takes the payment, charges and remits VAT and sales tax, and issues your invoice. We never see or store your card details. App subscriptions can also be bought inside the iOS and Android apps, and then the store — Apple or Google — is the seller for that purchase; the App terms explain what that changes. Cookbooks are sold through Paddle only.
Paddle's details:
Paddle.com Market Limited
Registered in England and Wales, company number 08172924
Judd House, 18–29 Mora Street, London, EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom
Support: paddle.net
We are the supplier of the products themselves, and our own terms cover how you use them: Terms and Refund policy for the site and the cookbooks, App terms for the app subscription.
Because Paddle handles the tax, we do not hold an EU VAT number. The tax shown at checkout is charged and paid by Paddle.
Where we do not sell. We do not offer the app or the cookbooks in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan, we do not direct our services at those countries, and we do not accept sign-ups or orders from there.
Your data
What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy policy for the site and the cookbooks, and in the App privacy policy and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for the app. To delete an app account, see Delete your account.
Data protection questions go to admin@sofiayuzu.com, and every one of them is answered by a person. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live; in Ukraine that is the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (ombudsman.gov.ua).
Disputes
If something is wrong, write to admin@sofiayuzu.com first — most things are fixed the same day. If your purchase itself is the problem, Paddle is the seller of record and its support handles billing disputes.
How long we take. We usually answer within a week. Billing disputes and anything complex can take up to two weeks. Requests about your personal data are answered within one month (45 days if you are making a request under Washington State law), and any refund we owe you is paid within 14 days of your notice.
For the purposes of German law (§ 36 VSBG): we are not willing and not obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. This statement is about German consumer arbitration only. Wherever you live, you keep every route your own country's law gives you, including any national consumer mediation or ADR body, and we will not argue that this page took it away from you.
Which law applies
The law of Ukraine applies, and the courts of Ukraine have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
Why this page exists
One page answers several duties at once: § 5 DDG and § 18(2) MStV in Germany, § 5 ECG and § 25 MedienG in Austria, Article 6 III LCEN in France, Article 10 LSSI in Spain, Article 5 UŚUDE in Poland, Article 10 of Decree-Law 7/2004 in Portugal, regulation 6 of the UK Electronic Commerce Regulations 2002, and Article 7 of Ukrainian Law 675-VIII on electronic commerce. That list is not exhaustive.
Languages
The English text of this page is the one we write and update first.
Where we have published a version in another language, that version is the one that applies to you and you can rely on it. If it differs from the English one, the meaning that is more favourable to you applies. Anything that was more favourable to you in an older translation still applies to what you did while that translation was the published one — we do not get to improve our position by being slow to translate. Once the Ukrainian version is published, it applies to users in Ukraine as Ukrainian law requires.
Today this page is published in English. Translations into German, Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian are being prepared, and each version will show when it was last updated. Until a version in your language is published, the English text applies. If you spot a difference between two versions, write to admin@sofiayuzu.com and we will fix whatever is wrong.
